BRIGHT FUTURE PRESCHOOL ACADEME is sponsored and operated as a not-for-profit organization under the Articles of Incorporation of Adnil Educational & Consulting Services, Incorporated. The corporation was officially organized on March 9, 2009. The preschool is also operated in compliance with the Standard for Private Schools in the State of California and is licensed by the California Department of Health and the Department of Children and Family Services – Community Care Licensing.
Our primary objective is to work toward the spiritual and educational teachings within our society, which is conducted in the form of Bible Scriptures, age-appropriate activities, music, stories, etc. In addition, we offer a strong academic and socio-emotional program that is geared to meet the total needs of children by teaching them about blessings and how to love each other. This is accomplished through sharing, saying, “I’m sorry,” and caring about each other. As a result, the standards of our preschool do not tolerate profanity, obscenity in words or actions, dishonor to the Holy Trinity, the Bible, or disobedience, and disrespect to the personnel of the preschool.
Realizing the need for providing quality childcare services, especially within those communities that have been identified as “high needs” areas, we seek to implement a full service, age appropriate educational program that is designed to meet the total needs of children. We believe that the training of children is a joint responsibility of the home, the public educational system, and the community at large. This means that a definite effort must be made to incorporate these three essential elements into a fully integrated program in order to ensure the development of these core characteristics. Therefore, we firmly believe that the home, school, and the community must work collaboratively to enable maximum effectiveness.
We further believe that the overall benefit of attending a fully integrated preschool is so that children will learn the foundational elements of academics in a socially appropriate manner. This means that through the study of colors, shapes, phonics, letters & sounds, social studies, science, arithmetic, etc., students will experience the joy of learning.
Our program was structured around the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor’s December 1999 motion to expand childcare capacity in areas where there is a documented shortage of licensed childcare. This was indicated by an assessment that was conducted by the Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) program at the University of California, Berkeley.
Our curriculum is designed to be in accordance with the provisions of the State of California Education Code. All subjects are taught by highly trained and skilled professionals in a manner that lays a solid foundation for academic excellence. As a result, our students are prepared to meet the challenges of life in a way that they can proudly assume their rightful place in society and create their own unique contributions.
We further believe that there is a drastic need for more quality childcare facilities in the high-risk urban communities in the County of Los Angeles. This is because in many areas of Los Angeles County, there are little or no licensed childcare services. In other areas, there is a severe shortage. In fact, the welfare reform initiatives have continued to increase the demand for available childcare, even in the midst of our current economic crisis. Therefore, because over 150,000 parents and other relative caregivers are currently trying to move from welfare to work, there are many children who need quality care. Furthermore, throughout Los Angeles County, there is a particular lack of specialized childcare centers that are licensed to care for infants, special needs children, and those who need care in the evening and/or weekends. BRIGHT FUTURE PRESCHOOL ACADEME is positioning itself to expand its services in an effort to successfully meet the needs of these children.
In addition to our comprehensive early child development program, we serve students from blended family environments under the categories of foster care, adoption, single parent households, and homes where grandparents are the primary caregivers. Some of these children have also been diagnosed with such conditions as Autism, Learning Disabled (LD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotionally and behaviorally challenged, victims of child abuse (i.e., physical, sexual, neglect, etc.), substance abuse, etc. Therefore, as specialized childcare providers, we have accepted the role of providing quality care services for these children and their families by providing them the love, encouragement, and support that they need in order to excel. This is done in a loving, nurturing and “child-centered” environment. Furthermore, we strive to provide families with positive characteristics while teaching them the fundamentals of academics so that they will be able to acquire higher-level skills as they progress through life.
